Well i am on two full days after my surgery, and i think i am doing fine. which works out perfectly because they need me to run sound tonight for the youth band. it seems that some of the staff decided to take a vacation week, so i am needed now more than ever. this week should be fun though. the 4th of July play, which i was asked to engineer, which is basically, here you get the job no one wants. but its all good, my last show before school. full sail yeppie. i cannot wait, 57 days and they cant come sooner. no more BCG, thank God.
speaking of full sail, my family decided to change vacation from Wisconsin Del’s to Orlando, so we are dropping me of instead of my brother. which is cool, we’ll take two cars down. my brother and i in mine. mom and pop in my dads. it is going to be awesome. i met some pretty cool people this week who are going to full sail same time as me. one is even in my class and the other is going into recording, but hey its all part of networking right. well as my lunch hour comes to a close i must say goodbye.

ahh wisdom teeth, i am sure they have a reason, but it seems that for most of the population they do more harm then good. so today was my big day; i woke up at eight took a shower ate the worlds biggest breakfast and headed to the oral surgean. one hour later i was driving home. only local numbing for me, thats it, and i sortof regret not doing anything else, it was very uncofortable but its over and no haziness afterwords so its all good. i love vicadin, i hate feelsing number now almost 15 hours after surgery, though i am on the last of the novacain. soon it will just be the meds, but i have so many pain killers in me to knock out a horse. overall not as bad as i thought it would be.

so two concerts have come and gone within the last month and i have decided to thrill you with my opinions.

The first was of Hillsong United. lets see it was in ocean grove, nj. which is only two blocks from the beach, so instead of holding a spot in line like gabe and i were there early to do, we wandered over a few blocks to gander at a couple million grains of sand and a few trillion buckets of water. it was very relaxing. so by the time we ambled back into line, it grew to multiples of twos many times over. the set up was a typical throw and go. band got off of shuttle from airport walked in and with in fifteen minutes started rocking out. 6 jbl 89s and 82s per side with pm5d at foh and monitor world. all shure iems and handhelds. and my opinion of jbl stands firm, junk but loud. but crowd response was phenomenal so it was all good. i had a blast.

second concert was Chosen(Valley Forge’s travel college band)

at our own fountain gym. and it was a train wreck audio wise but it was worship so it didnt really matter. a mackie 3way powered stacked with dual 18s per side and a mackie 24v console, all in a room with less than optimal acoustics, i say that heavily. the funniest thing about it though was that the “fader monkey” i only say that because he knew nothing, was not “allowed to touch the system EQ, because it was professionally set. IN WHAT ROOM, first of all our gym is an acoustical nightmare. i offered some advice but he was unwilling to get in trouble. even still all he had to do was draw out where each frequency fader was and put it back before the tour ended. he wouldnt budge. but you know, it just made me what to go to fullsail even quicker so i can learn more.

so sometime in the very near future i will post pics of my adventure to the beach to attend a concert. it was sweet and loud. so yeah whenever i get a free moment.

only 92 more days until my venture begins for full sail, along with thankfully only 50 days left of work and a vacation somewhere in there to Wisconsin Del’s. hopefully the summer will pass quickly. budget man life is way to expensive, no matter how much i work, and new cost is added to the list of 50,000 and it just makes life more complicated, but it is for school so it will all work out in the end.

in case you havent noticed i cannot wait until i leave. not that i am trying to runaway, but more on the line of ready for new and better things to come.

sorry it takes so long to update, its just that besides having some fun with the coolest friends, theres not much to write about. friends, that is what i am going to miss the most. slowly we are all spreading out across the world, which is nothing more than a phone call away, but i can sense a big wave of change in my life a coming soon.

i think this semester off is what i needed. because once i am done school, the sky is the limit. it was nice having just a few more months to spend with the greatest friends a guy could have. and ill do a whole spiel on those individuals later, but for now i must get back to work.

until later.
